BAföG
Once you receive a form regarding BAföG funding from the BAföG office, please fill it out with your information in the section above. Be sure to also enter the semester for which you wish to have your enrollment certified. Then submit the form to the Bachelor's Office (by email to [email address missing]) This email address is being protected from spam bots! To display JavaScript must be turned on! ).
After processing, you will receive the form back by email approximately one week later.
To receive a positive BAföG certificate, you must have completed at least 75% of the required coursework. (This corresponds to at least 90 ECTS credits after the 4th semester.)

Foundation phase
Admission requirement for the 3rd semester
Section 4, paragraph 2 of the examination regulations states:
"Admission to examinations for modules from the 3rd semester onwards requires proof of at least 40 ECTS credits from the first two semesters..."
Mentoring program
Bachelor's Mentoring Program:
We want you to complete your studies successfully and with a clear focus. To support you in achieving this goal, our departement a multi-stage mentoring program.
- Mentoring during your orientation week:
Our student mentors from higher semesters will give you a warm welcome and offer you the opportunity during orientation week to make initial contacts at the departement , explore the campus together, and get answers to your questions about starting your studies. You will also receive valuable support in the mentoring groups for creating your personal timetable.
- First-semester mentoring during your first semester:
Your mentoring groups from the introductory week will remain active until the end of your first semester, and your mentors will offer you help and support with all questions related to your studies. During the meetings with your mentoring group, you will also have ample opportunity to expand your personal network at THM and benefit from the mentors' tips (for example, on learning techniques, time management, and exam preparation).

- Mentoring 2.0 during your second semester:
Did you get through your first semester successfully and would like to share your experiences? Or did you imagine your start to your studies differently? As instructors, we will support you as a group, but also individually, addressing your personal concerns about everyday student life. Here you have the opportunity to ask questions, get answers, and expand your network. Three mandatory meetings will take place during the second semester and are firmly integrated into your timetable. Our goal for Mentoring 2.0: To study more effectively and be well-prepared for the second exam period!

Orientation meeting after the 2nd semester
After your first year of study, we offer you the opportunity, on a voluntary basis, to have an orientation meeting with a professor to assess your personal progress and plan your further studies.
